The third IEEE Global Humanitarian Technology Conference (GHTC) 2013, produced by IEEE Region 6 and the IEEE San Francisco Bay Area Council, is the IEEE’s flagship humanitarian conference. GHTC is designed to gather scientists, engineers, technology professionals, academics, foundations, government and non-government organizations, and individuals engaged in humanitarian works to discuss and develop solutions for present and future humanitarian needs.

GHTC fosters the growth of a worldwide community that places priority on developing technology for sustainable human prosperity.

Keynotes, Panel Sessions, Tutorials, and Technical Papers will be presented by renowned individuals in the field. They will highlight new technologies, business models, and social entrepreneurship initiatives that help improve the livelihoods of the under-privileged.

This cross-discipline conference provides the perfect venue for persons involved in and/or interested in humanitarian projects to join their peers in Silicon Valley. The audience for this conference includes technologists, engineers, scientists, investors, field project managers, representatives from NGOs, governments, academia, and industry. It will provide an opportunity to share your work, meet others involved in humanitarian technology, and formulate projects with new partners. Our sessions will address a wide range of topics and we hope you plan to join us.
